Murder Suspect Cuffed

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (April 16, 2019) - PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Mirasol Dos, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:00 AM, April 16, 2019.

The operation resulted to the arrest of one (1) Robert Mahusay Y Villanueva, a.k.a. bukang, 29 years old, male, single, jobless, and a resident of Purok Mirasol Dos, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 19-029, issued by Presiding Judge, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond fixed at (Php 200,000,00).

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Margosatubig MPS detention center while waiting for commitment order from the court.

1 killed, 1 wounded in Shooting Incident

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (April 7, 2019) – One person was killed while the other was wounded in Shooting incident transpired at Purok Durian, Magahis, Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:45 AM of April 7, 2019.

Investigation conducted disclosed that two victims were identified as the

One (1) Joel Biña Gallego, 39 years old, married, former Zamboanga del sur Provincial Jail detainee, a resident of Purok-6, Baluno Dimataling Zamboanga del Sur, and

One (1) Jefty Kilat Tulba, 27 years old, single, former Zamboanga del sur Provincial Jail detainee, a resident of Purok-2, Barangay Pikanan, Kumalarang Zamboanga Del Sur.

Further Investigation revealed that both victims were riding a single motorcycle from Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur and bound for Baluno Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur and upon reaching Barangay Durian, Magahis Zamboanga del Sur.

The two (2) victims were followed by two (2) unidentified individuals riding a single motorcycle who immediately open fired at the victims.

Unfortunately Joel Biña Gallego, the back rider sustained four (4) gunshot wound on his back and one (1) on his head which resulted to his instantaneous death and Jefty Kilat Tulba who also sustained a gunshot wound on the right portion of his arm and was able to run away from the crime scene and was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital For Medical Treatment.

After the incident suspects fled toward San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Recovered from the scene were one (1) live ammunition of cal. 45, two (2) fired cartridge case of .45 caliber ammunition.

Margosatubig MPS is still conducting follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation for the possible identity and arrest of the suspect.
