1 killed in Stabbing Incident

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (June 22, 2018) – 1 killed in Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Atsal, Brgy. Limbatong, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of June 20, 2018.

Police identified the victim as Avelino Tambalihol Tonde, 28 years old, single, farmer and a resident Purok Atsal, Brgy. Limbatong, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was stabbed by the suspect identified as Ariel Limbos Palo, 22 years old and a resident of Brgy. Limbatong, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that at about 2:30 PM of same date, Victim and the suspect together with their friends having a drinking spree at Centro Limbatong, Margosatubig and on or about 6:30 PM of same date, they finished their drinking session and went home.

Upon arrival at the house of Ivy Lumosob Aman wherein victim and suspect watched television, while watching, suddenly without any provocation the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times that caused his untimely death. After the incident, suspect immediately fled to unknown direction.

Drug Suspect Arrested in Margosatubig

On June 4, 2018 at about 7:15 AM, PNP personnel of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit together with Margosatubig MPS conducted a joint drug buy-bust operation at Market Site, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Maimona Edith Berual (Not listed on DI Watchlist), 31 years old, and a resident of Purok Waterlily, Barangay Luguimit, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (buy-bust), four (4) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (possession) and one (1) piece of five hundred (Php 500.00) peso bill and five (5) pieces one hundred pesos used as marked money.

The Arrested subject person is now under the custody of Margosatubig MPS for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Campaign against Illegal Logging in Margosatubig

PNP personnel of Margosatubig MPS and personnel of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) together with Mr. Ernie Jay S Jimenez, Acting Provincial Coconut Marketing and Regulatory Specialist (PCMARS) conducted joint operation on anti-illegal logging at Sitio Gabay, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur on June 3, 2018 at about 9:00 AM.

The operation resulted to the confiscation of more or less five hundred ninety (590) board feet of coconut lumbers owned by Mr. Felipe Salinas Y Carlito, legal age, married, businessman and resident of Sitio Luguimit, Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The confiscation was conducted for violation of RA 8048 Regulation of Cutting Coconut trees, its replenishment and Penalties thereof.

Confiscated Lumbers are now under the custody of Coconut Development Office, Province of Zamboanga del Sur for proper disposition.
